Class Descriptions

Sunrise Yoga- Come in to class before your work day starts  and get your yoga in early! Rising with the sun will start your day off right and leave  you feeling energized, connected, and at peace for the rest of your day.  Our sunrise yoga classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 6:30.This is an all levels morning flow. 

Morning Flow- Jump start your day and wake up your body! This class is taught to all levels of strength and flexibility. Modifications will be offered for newer students as well as more challenging options for the more experienced students. Join us and start off your day with a positive mind and a strong body!

Gentle Flow-This class is recommended for beginners or those looking for a slower more gentle approach.. This soothing gentle practice focuses on moving slowly into basic yoga poses while using the breath as a tool to remain present and mindful. The slow pace of this class allows you to enjoy each pose. Expect lots of stretching and lengthening with a heavy dose of relaxation to wrap up your practice and leave you feeling great!

Power- Vinyasa Power Yoga is a fluid, powerful, style of yoga that links movement and breath together and is based on intuition rather than tradition. Vinyasa Power Yoga heals, detoxifies and exhilarates the body and mind with emphasis on movement, balance, and intention.

Yoga for Healthy Aging- As the body ages and changes it is essential to keep it both strong and limber. This class will offer people a chance to work on balance, coordination, and strength as well as flexibility, their breath, and relaxation in a safe, supportive, and friendly environment. With the use of props including but not limited to; chairs, belts, yoga blocks, bolsters, and the wall we are able to make many poses available to all bodies. Learn the fundamental building blocks of yoga and start your practice off on a clear and confident base. This class is moderately paced and designed to provide a gentle approach to yoga postures and movements. It’s the ideal course for individuals who have never practiced yoga, someone fairly new to yoga but interested in slowing down and working on their foundation, or a person coming back to yoga after a hiatus.

Iyengar- a system of Yoga based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar; rooted in the traditional wisdom and philosophy of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. Students will learn through an intelligent sequencing of poses, precise instruction, clear demonstration, the innovative use of props, and verbal feedback. Iyengar Yoga helps students establish strength, stamina, and concentration as well as mobility and flexibility. Especially in introductory classes, there is an emphasis on standing poses from which the principles of all the other asanas emerge. Certified Iyengar Yoga Teachers are trained to modify the yoga postures for individual student needs helping students of all ages and conditions through a rewarding yoga experience.

Yin Yoga- Suitable for all levels.  Yin Yoga invites you to slow down and create space for stillness while nourishing joints, ligaments, tendons and fascia. Yin is yoga at its coolest, deepest, quietest, stillest moments. This class will have you on the floor most of the time, using as many props needed to create as little effort while holding poses. Poses are held for 2-5 minutes allowing joints and fascia to release. This class will complement your Vinyasa practice and will open and release areas in need of more attention.

Yoga Nidra-The practice and art of Yogic Sleep. In this class you will be guided through a detailed sleep meditation that will allow your mind and body to slip into a deep state of relaxation. The brain will switch from beta to alpha waves, signaling the transition from activity to meditation.
