Vinyasa For Vicky                                                         Saturday March 18th 1pm

Join us Saturday March 18th as we set an intention of healing, cultivate love, and fundraise in support of this amazing lady! Vicky is Heather's (Bending Bodhi's owner) mother in law and beloved grandmother to her daughter Emma. Vicky has a rare autoimmune disease with no known cause, no cure, and no treatment other than a double lung transplant. Vicky is at Mass General Hospital where she is waiting for the gift of life. A nurturing, gracious, and kind individual, she has been a vital part of so many people’s lives. It is now our turn to join her on this very difficult and challenging journey and help prepare her family for the emotional and financial challenges of transplant.

Vicky, a loving wife, mother of three, grandmother of four, and aunt to many nieces and nephews is a very special person whose family means everything to her. She has a unique spirit, is kind and generous; Vicky is one of those people who thinks of others before herself. She loves cooking and is one of those people who is always bringing soup to people. With transplant, Vicky will be able to get back to her favorite things, spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, quilting, and oil painting.

Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket transplant expenses are daunting: travel to Boston, lodging expenses for Vicky and a caregiver to be close to the hospital for 4-6 months post-transplant, and travel expenses for follow-up visits to Boston; co-pays and deductibles for therapies and the daily medications Vicky will need for the rest of her life.

In support of Vicky we will move through an all levels gentle yoga class. Class will be accompanied by live music from the amazing Jenna Sarno and we will be live feeding the class on Facebook so Vicky can watch from her hospital room. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to attend you may also donate through the Help Hope Live campaign page.
We greatly appreciate your interest and generosity in helping Vicky!
