EveryBODY A Workshop To Learn To Embrace and Love Your Body
Saturday June 23rd 1-4pm
This three-hour intensive addresses the importance of the body’s physical and mental wellbeing. Learn tools on how to cultivate a healthy and caring relationship with your body through self-reflection, observation and challenge. This workshop starts with a 45 minute vinyasa flow followed by activities and discussion of body image touching upon variety of topics such as disordered eating, socio-cultural influences, community strength, judgements, inner awareness and reflection as well as embodiment. Leave with a new set of tools in your box to further encourage a body positive outlook in your life. This workshop is lead by Margaux Maertens, a yoga instructor whose goal is to provide outreach and support to those struggling with body image difficulties. Margaux has first hand experience dealing with the roller coaster life of disordered eating and uses her experiences, stories, and knowledge to provide a safe, educational, and open environment to anyone who opens the door. This workshop is open to people of all ages.
