EveryBODY- A 6 Week Workshop To Learn To Embrace and Love Your Body
Wednesdays 4:00-5:45 February 1st - March 8th
This 6 Week Workshop addresses the importance of the body’s physical and mental well being. Learn how to cultivate a healthy and caring relationship with your body through self-reflection, observation, and challenge. The discussion of body image will lead the workshop through a variety of topics such as disordered eating, socio-cultural influences, community strength, judgements, inner awareness and reflection, as well as embodiment. The last hour of each class follows a yoga class themed for the discussion that day.
This workshop is lead by Margaux Maertens, a yoga instructor whose goal is to provide outreach and support to those struggling with body image difficulties. Margaux has first hand experience dealing with the roller coaster life of disordered eating and uses her experiences, stories, and knowledge to provide a safe, educational, and open environment to anyone who opens the door. This workshop is open to people of all ages.
Includes unlimited yoga classes for the length of the workshop.
